The Operations Our Surgeons Perform
Comprehensive bariatric and weight loss solutions tailored to your individual needs

Sleeve Gastrectomy
The most popular bariatric procedure. Reduces stomach size by approximately 80%, leading to significant weight loss and improved health outcomes.

Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y)
Highly effective for weight loss and diabetes resolution. Creates a small stomach pouch and reroutes the digestive system for optimal results.

One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass
A modern bypass technique with a single connection point, designed to help you eat less, absorb fewer calories, and feel fuller sooner.

Mini Gastric Bypass
A simpler bypass procedure with excellent long-term weight loss outcomes and metabolic benefits, performed laparoscopically.

SADI Surgery
Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Bypass — a powerful procedure modified to reduce malnutrition risk while maximising weight loss.

Allurion Balloon
Non-surgical weight loss solution. A swallowable gastric balloon that helps you lose weight without surgery, endoscopy, or anaesthesia.

Intragastric Balloon
An endoscopically placed balloon that occupies space in the stomach, helping reduce food intake for meaningful weight loss.

Revisional Surgery
Expert revision of prior weight loss procedures including band-to-sleeve conversions and other complex secondary surgeries.

Lap-Band Surgery
Adjustable gastric banding — a reversible surgical option with over 4,000 operations performed by our team since 1998.

Non-Surgical Weight Loss
Comprehensive multidisciplinary approach including dietitian support, psychological counselling, and medical management.
Questions About Our Bariatric Doctors, Answered
Look for surgeons trained specifically in bariatric surgery, who perform it regularly, who report outcomes to the Bariatric Safety Registry, and who work with a physician, dietitian and psychologist rather than operating alone. Ask how many surgeons are in the theatre, what follow up is included and for how long. Every one of those questions is answered on this page.
You can request a particular surgeon when you book, or we will match you to the surgeon with the earliest availability at the location closest to you. Whoever you see, two of our surgeons will be in the theatre for your operation and the whole team follows the same program.
Because bariatric surgery is safer with two experienced pairs of hands. One surgeon operates and one assists, so there is always a second bariatric trained opinion in the room and cover if anything unexpected is found. Many practices use a junior assistant. We do not.
Yes. Our surgeons are specialist general surgeons with additional training in bariatric and metabolic surgery. Our physician is a specialist physician with a focus on obesity and its related conditions. Our dietitians and psychologist work only in bariatric care.
No. You can book an initial consultation without a referral. A GP referral is recommended because it allows a Medicare rebate on the consultation and some health funds ask for one. We can help you arrange a referral if you do not have one.
For life. The first year follows a set program with the nurse, dietitian, surgeon and physician. After that you see the physician yearly for a review and blood tests, and the surgeon, dietitian and psychologist are available whenever you need them.
We consult in Dandenong North, Berwick, Frankston, Cranbourne and Warragul. Surgery is performed in private hospitals across Melbourne’s south east. You can book online, call (03) 9760 2777 or leave your details on this page.
